And the fact that the democrats have shifted so far into acceptance that anyone against it is a terrible person has been amazing to watch. They called out the Nazis for the past few years, and now they’re wondering if maybe the general idea behind it was OK.

It isn’t. Biden has done far too much, in the name of diplomacy to enable it. That’s true. But also different from cheering it on and wanting to accelerate it. I don’t want anyone to die anywhere prematurely. But if I attack everyone who can’t promise that. And refuse to work with those making smaller, more achievable progress. I’d be a part of the problem.

In the near future if more progressive people in Congress come up with sanctions against Likud and related groups in Israel that are causing the problem. Who’s desk would you want that to go to? Biden may or may not sign it. Trump would absolutely sic his fans against anyone that voted for it. One is better than the other. And over 2 centuries of data tells us it will be one of the two.

As well as that the Overton window consistently moves to the right no matter which of the two it is (by design, of course, because as opposed to OP’s suggestion that the system is somehow “broken”, it is, in fact, working as intended), yet you continue to put all of your faith in to this charade, patting yourself on the back for voting for a fascism enabler like it’s some act of anti-fascism

Wow you guys are just as bad as the trumpers are with those illogical whacked out conspiracy theories. No the system isn’t working as designed. It’s been broken a long time and we all know this. The other thing we all should know however. Is that it’s infinitely harder to fix things than it is to break them or break them more.

The problem is it takes a solid unified front on our part to fix it. But they’ve found it so easy to break you all. To peel you off and turn you against anything like that. Solidarity is what will defeat them. They just laughed to themselves when they watch people like yourself attributing to them far more power than they’ve ever or will ever have. They don’t need absolute power they just need enough people like yourself who can be easily turned to fight against their own interests. While thinking they’re fighting for their interests.

Biden might not be everything you want, but voting for Biden is like hitting from the tee to the fairway. You’re partway there, and set up well to take care of the rest. Voting for Trump is just teeing off straight into the water hazard.

On edit: Credit to Carlos Alazraqui for the golf analogy.

I totally understand this view, and I don’t disagree with it completely. The part I have a hard time wrapping my head around is the fact that we all saw this coming for the last 4 years, and yet here we are, at the whim of the system we are in. All the blame cannot be placed on the (rightfully disheartened) voters here. We’ve been dealt the South Park special.

I hope/choose to believe that the reason we’re here is that those leading the charge in our justice system knew they not only had to have an airtight case, but it also had to slowly tear him down and erode his support.

There are plenty of leaders throughout history who were exiled, deposed, or voted out only to come back stronger than ever. By taking an extremely methodical approach to all of the legal challenges against Trump, they’ve forced him to spend the majority of his time, energy, and money on those battles.

      As always, time will tell…

the whole “voting Biden under duress” mood – not only will DNC refuse to give us anything other than Lesser Evil, they actively sabotage Not Evil
