You are very generous and way better at assuming good faith than me if you assume that the majority of feminists partaking in this could be “educated by principled feminists.” So many feminists just call themselves feminists as a basic gesture of being like, “yeah, women should have rights and all that,” but they don’t actually look deep into feminist theory, history, or anything of the sort, and many would not care to, in the same way some racists would not care to learn to actually be anti-racist. A lot of feminists, especially Western white ones, want patriarchy to simply stop inconveniencing them more than they actually want to end oppression as a whole.
