    I have the highest salary possible on that contract. This year, I’m only getting a 10% raise after 0% raise for a couple of years. The new contract will still put me more than 4k below the living wage.

    It’s almost like fair wages are totally affordable, and institutions just don’t want to be fucked to pay them.

      Nah but the President and other upper levels wouldn’t be able to afford their summer homes if you cut into their salaries!

    so sick of article titles that say shit like “strike averted” and not “university correctly meets demand for reasonable wage increase” or “money stops getting funneled to profits so that employees can afford nice things”
