Someone made a good point on YouTube. What does Trump mean by “black jobs”? Aren’t they just jobs?
He can’t even not be racist at the best of times

Thats the best way of putting it…
He isn’t even trying to hide it anymore. In fact, I’d go as far as to say, he’s possibly far beyond the point of even knowing he’s lying anymore. He’s either literally delusional, or he’s relying on 3rd party info exclusively from places like Fox News without performing any type of validation and is gullible.
People like Theo De Raadt might have had a fairly huge impact on killing BSD.
He might have alienated a lot of people from even considering bsd.
The Linux community also had a lot of help by vendors such as Suse and Redhat who had no problems implementing good ideas which were a bit toxic, but were available in windows. Commercial venders can make a massive difference (as well as government deployments).
The big problem has been people resistant to change
That’s the biggest issue
There are so many people in the community who attack developers.
I had a open source project which I started, it got a lot of media attention but I gave it up because so much of the community is toxic and just made me feel unsure about developing the idea further.
And lots of other developers are the same. Even with Lemmy, people weren’t going to contribute, but they targeted the developers political beliefs.
And I see so much crap talking on Lemmy here because developers choose to use GitHub or discord. If you don’t like that, contribute to the project, but don’t try to dictate the project you have no involvement in
We had a solution for that though. Things like the carbon tax would have had a meaningful impact. And then the libs managed to make it toxic so it can’t be reintroduced
There’s a lot of problems with nuclear
We know it’s expensive, and it takes so long to build that if that’s the only plan, it makes no sense not to install solar. So ultimately my the time it is built, it will be even less economical
Same problems as coal. You can’t simply turn it on. It can take hours. That’s part of the reason for recent blackout in Vic (turbines need to sync up same speed and phase as the grid or they shit themselves, and that can take hours). Solar/batteries take 100ms and will always get the contract. Cheaper too…
It’s still centralized so power in rural areas will still be crap. If you put batteries and solar in those areas though and treat them as microgrids, everyone will have more reliable power. They can stop whining about their blackouts
The cost of solar and batteries right now is irrelevant. In 15 years by the time this plant is built, based on the current price drops, i think I calculated that batteries and solar are 66% - 90% cheaper. It would be stupid to think this technology doesn’t drop in cost, and improve in efficiency.
We have a lot of space here in Australia for solar. So, energy density doesn’t matter like many countries.
Instead of wasting all this gd money on nuclear, they should be using it to build manufacturing factories for lithium batteries and solar.
Nuclear doesn’t solve any real issues here in Australia.
Actually, I disagree. Trump actually did make one point exceptionally well and did an excellent job emphasizing it.
That he is going to blame immigrants for everything and he is racist
Id go as far as calling it a wolf whistle to people he knows are violent and will help him during election time
It’s clear that he’s slowly trying to set up another civil war
Trump cheated in more ways than one. So it’s hard to keep up
The only policy anyone will remember Trump has, is that he’s racist.
He made sure everyone knew that and kept emphasizing it. And it was the only one that wasn’t made up on the spot. He seemed to have lots of ways to blame foreigners for everything
And he wanted everyone to know he’s better at golf. That I believe, considering he spent his 4 years in office playing it (the only thing he seemingly did was steal some paperwork and blame others).
Also, why didn’t CNN bring up stuff like the fact Trump told people to shove a lightbulb up their ass to cure covid? Or follow up on the lies. They should have had a ticker at the bottom with a fact check
I disagree with a lot of coverage. Public talking is hard and everyone has had a brainfart before.
Trump wanted everyone to know he was racist… It was his only clear policy
If you listen to the actual words, Biden had answers. He might not have been as vocal (which could have been fixed with a mic adjustment).
But it’s easy to win a debate if you constantly lie. You can’t get onto the offensive, because Trump has the advantage that he can make up bullshit, and claim bullshit. He doesn’t even need to think about policies.
It’s like arguing on Facebook. Talking on behalf of everyone and claiming that “nobody agrees” can only be disputed with facts.
As others have said, the format was an issue that benefits Trump. CNN should have fact checked on the spot
deleted by creator
That’s the pack by the same creator…
But yeah, not a new concept, but lots of elements at first glance seem directly ripped off
Better off supporting the original developers honestly
Even the name is somewhat similar…
Isn’t this just a pure rip-off of stardew valley?
Based on the screenshots, it looks like even the assets were probably stolen
I actually disagree. I feel it’s best to use for languages you’re good with, because it tends to introduce very subtle bugs which can be very difficult to debug, and code which looks accurate about isn’t. If you’re not totally familiar with the language, it can be even harder
My workmate literally used copilot to fix a mistake in our websocket implementation today.
It made one line of change… turned it it made the problem worse
Wasn’t that at the same time works was out?
I remember when they got rid of the old WRX design. I thought the new ones looked stupid.
But they were right. Now when you look at the old ones they look cringe
Even cars like the Nissan cube and the CJ cruiser honestly my opinions have totally changed
Sorry, what’s malus?
Yep, maybe if you abuse me, it will add credibility…
Your post specifically was correlating the two. But, seems more like since you don’t have any real justification for your response, you’re resorting to calling me a “STAN” or whatever. If you want to do that, I prefer you stick to Reddit, where that behavior is commonplace.
Google have done very little to block other app stores or other ad providers on their platforms… That’s why they’re likely far behind. Apple on the other hand have a long history of blocking apps, or delaying them, and blocking App stores.
The proof is, most popular Android products aren’t even made by Apple (Samsung). And a lot of android products don’t even ship the Play store.
Complaints for IOS and Android developers are remarkably different. Many Android developers are complaining there are too many variants of devices, whereas many Apple developers (particularly bigger ones) complain about Apple business practices.
Getting locked out of the App Store, means your product is dead. Even worse, Apple used to ban entire products from their app store, explicitly if it replicates some of their functionality too (or even not even tell the developer why). If that’s not anti-competitive, I don’t know what is.
That’s the thing
If he has total immunity, doesn’t it mean he can just sign into law to remove the dodgy Trump justices?
The really sad part is that people on the fox news youtube are calling this a win for America.
Their rights are being eroded, and they’re still brown nosing the guy.
