So, what is nuclear?
So, what is nuclear?
How old were you back then? These kids awake to a world fucked up by the older generation. They try to take every step that comes to their mind to steer away from desaster. What is your personal input in that task? Criticism. Well done. Go out and teach them, if you’re so clever.
Rimworld.
Thank you all for your answers! When you leave the cities here, cabling on utility poles is not uncommon, so disconnects are probable, when a tree falls in bad weather or so. Just also wanted to check if you all own a generator, because that is totally uncommon in metro areas here. If an energy provider in a city suggested or advertised an external generator connection as a bonus, he would be laughed at.
Dumb European here; “In the event of a power outage, you can connect your generator to the surge device with the power cable to power your home up to the generator’s capacity. Easy access for your generator – you won’t have to run extension cords from your generator into your home.”
Is this really a thing over there? I never had more than a flicker of outage here.
Thank you. Indeed it is.
I can still remember the smell of the gravel paths in my gradparent’s garden when it was raining. Oddly specific memory, innit? No other smells that I “remember”.
European here. Could some kind spirit explain? Did that guy get a gun gifted for visiting church? Or did he visit church with a gun and it got somehow automagically blessed cos it was there with him? Sry, scratching my head over these rituals.
You can find it on ebay, probably much cheaper.
Kewpie hits the dish soap very hard with me.
Thank you for that information. It’s a company machine, but if I ever get annoyed enough I’ll try it out. I just f*s my brain that they’re bold enough to change the UI for worse.
tl, did not read all. sry, tired.
“The reality is that while you’ve gotten very good at navigating the operating system that you’ve been using for the past twenty years, very little of that knowledge is useful in GNU/Linux.”
One could add “Or on the next version/release of Windows”, cos they’re breaking that “knowledge” with each new (forced) change on the UI. Yes, I want to right-click on a file and choose “rename” in a context menu, not choose one of a ton of icons, I want excel to open a new instance with a new file, and so on. It kills productivity for me to be forced on these changes.
Is there any other way?
…and won’t be able to park, because…well, cars.
Keyboards you’re currently using a close second…
“he almost mocked the inability of the west’s $40tn economy to organise a battlefield defeat of Russia’s $2tn economy.” <- this really bothers me. There is no will here for Ukraine to succeed.
Very interesting link, thank you.
Would be around 300€ in Germany, on a cheap contract. Limiting myself to one combined NAS/application server atm, with the others turned on only if I want to try sth out.
Thy already wrote this will not be powered on 24/7, just lean back and enjoy the pics and story :-)
