The truly unpopular opinion is the one you’re pretending is popular, people aren’t advocating for immediate replacement without building up green energy and replacing it entirely.
This town, in fact, has more than enough room for the two of us
The truly unpopular opinion is the one you’re pretending is popular, people aren’t advocating for immediate replacement without building up green energy and replacing it entirely.
Yep, Marx predicted this actually. A huge portion of Marx’s literature is even more relevant today than ever before.
The best product should not be what’s most popular in Capitalism, what’s profitable to produce is what’s most profitable. With tons of competition, you just have competing levels of automation, corner cutting, and exploitation.
Competition and markets in general are the cause of enshittification.
Competition doesn’t lead to innovation in improving people’s lives, but company profits. See: enshittification.
As much as I can without harming those who depend on me.
Depends on the country, honestly. In America, I’m more inclined to believe Syndicalism would work, reform won’t meaningfully happen from within.
In general, I’m anti-tendency and believe that the material conditions of each space need to be analyzed independently.
Full agreement, way ahead of you. Instead of having a robust, publicly funded infrastructure-based necessity (internet service), it gets chopped up and sold piece-by-piece with price-gouging and local monopolies like warlords.
Technically, Lemmy itself is a “radical left” platform. That was its purpose in creation.
To be fair, choosing Lemmy over Reddit is absolutely a political choice, hence people here are going to be more politically-minded.
Just finished Signalis, got the “Promise” ending. Feel pretty empty after that, it’s such a good game and is further proof that games don’t have to have incredible graphical fidelity or huge teams to be fantastic and look great.
Co-ops are cool, but markets in general have far too many disadvantages for me to advocate for market-based Socialism over a non-market solution.
Markets are extremely bad when it comes to proper allocation of essentials. Infrastructure in general should be nationalized at minimum, and heavily invested in.
Nationalize internet.
Not just mods, but the entire Capitalistic model.
By contributing to the building up of the productive forces. Fuck this stagnation bullshit, invest in infrastructure and urbanization, invest in clean energy, and automation. Cut out meaningless jobs.
Leftists go to Lemmy because Lemmy is FOSS, ie leftist, and was made by a Communist. Reddit mostly has liberals.
He made an account 20 minutes ago just to post inflammatory, hyper-conservative reactionary comments
He made an account 20 minutes ago just to post inflammatory, reactionary comments from a hyper-conservative angle, lmao.
Urbanization and multi-use buildings, change office buildings to residential buildings and enact working from home more.
High speed rail.
People who touch grass tend to enjoy it.
