  • Your concerns are valid but all the Rs coming out like this is more about how terrible Trump is and less about anything else. Don’t underestimate how many moderates there are in both parties and these Rs help there - progressives need their votes. After Trump is gone, we can hopefully go back to trying to improve the voting system, pushing Dems more left and hope that anyone on the right exchanges some of their selfinterests for social interests - but that’s best we can dream for.

Roll back to 2013-2015. If he would have maintained this period’s façade, he’d be rich, influential and perhaps, a positive legacy. But he had to join the ultra wealthy club and in turn, push their agenda/interests and watch the momentum he had from those few years, crumble. He’s a meme more than ever and he doesn’t care. He had a chance to do better things, but joined the wrong cult…

I just miss the intellectual depth of anime like the Patlabor, Macross Plus, Ghost in the Shell, Akira movies. The last show I loved from beginning to end was Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Macross Frontier was alright. I was also one of the odd(?) ones who enjoyed Naruto when it over explained ninjitsu. The art, I understand overhead costs, So I can be more forgiving - so long as art quality isn’t trash. There was a time when anime was ahead of its time. You just don’t see that much anymore 😭

  • For far too long people have been under the illusion that politicians try and debate in good faith and to some extent certain politicians do - Biden will spin facts into a better light or down play some issues; that’s politics, right? But Trump is everything bad in politics and perhaps humanity, all wrapped into one. To give that a microphone is bad enough, but to think you can “debate” such a thing, should be someone’s first and last mistake. It’s pointless because there’s no new perspective for Trump to bring to America’s current situation; Biden knows this. In many ways, you either vote against Trump because you know what he is, or you vote for Trump because you believe what he wants you to know; he only brings “alternate facts,” and again, Biden knows this.
