  • Sure, she should have been aware. A reprimand or penalty is correct. But that is not the point. Because she missed it, a potential hazardous situation occurred and there was no other indication to stop the danger than this single flag.

This was a situation that was not foreseen because in F1 radio-messages and fireworks will indicate to the driver that the race is over. In F1Academy this is different. Pit-crew/FIA/stewards must also learn from this and can for example wave the white flag for ‘last lap’, and use the start lights and position lights to indicate ‘track closing’. Or wave blue flags all around the track for the winner and everybody behind.

  • From Russel’s car-cam, you can see that Norris first moves while all lights are on. Probably before he actually leaves his start-box, the lights go out. He stops outside the box, everybody starts and he goes last. I can imagine that the sensors did not catch that as a violation. It is (on F1TV) about 1 movie frame that you can see movement under lights on. Would love to see someone slowly playing it with broad-cast quality. It could have been the fastest start ever if he had continued to drive.

  • What is your source?

High power is a matter of scaling (and size/space constraints). To increase the power output, the membrane size can be increased or multiple power cells can be installed as explained in the article:

If you want to store more energy, just increase the size of the solution storage tanks or the concentration of the solutions. If you want to provide more power, just stack more cells on top of one another or add new stacks.
