Ooh no that’s a fair point. Some mistrust is definitely justified until proven differently due to the high potential in conflict of interest.

I don’t get it mate, you had me at your first comment because it seemed fairly written. But lose me at the following 2.
Though that is fruit for thought I can not find any information to back op that claim. I did however found articles about them defending remote working. It’s a bit too easy to me to throw out claims such as this without backing it up with facts. But if you do have any other examples I would love to read them.
Fair point.
Not if they use that money to subsidise American EV’s.
I’m annoyed by the caps but you had me at the first paragraph
Only I think they’re already opening factories in Mexico. Which again isn’t a terrible situation either.
Yea so that’s the argument that people who don’t agree with making a liveable wage give. In reality there is just a great group of people who are only eligible for minimum wage or close to minimum wage jobs. So a fair bit of adults that are even trying to support their children.
So I think we can all agree that especially if 2 parents are working 40 hours a week should be able to at least live a decent life in a Western country. And that’s mainly in to question here. For teens you could always have a lower minimum wage until they’re older. As they have in plenty countries.
Does this address your question properly?
I get your frustration but you can’t solve one extreme/problem by another. That just creates different problems. And I believe you’re smart enough to realise what problems that would be. But yea, affordability is definitely a problem that needs to be solved. Getting exploited is never good. Sadly that rich people problem is present in more countries, including China. (not talking about the size of the problem, that is a point of argument of course)
The thing is, that is the short term benefit. The long term effect could be is that we be dependent on the exporting party and they can start charging higher prices. Generally it is not in your favour to be dependent on another party.
I am also wondering where that amount comes from. Though I do not think it should be based on profit. A company can also be unprofitable on purpose in a region in order to destroy the competition an gain market share. Then after conquering the market they increase the prices again.
In this case I suppose it also be difficult to quantify the fine. Of course the duration of the anti-competitive behaviour should also be taken into consideration and apples low willingness to better itself. Is there any article explaining the 500m euro?
Lal mate, it’s that’s rather funny. No I am definitely not American. So if you could kindly get of your high horse and instead of throwing insults politely tell me about countries where these free turn slides are as i have yet to spot them in Europe and Asia.
Your insults have no other objective than to make yourself feel better. Though I hope that in the future you will be kinder and focus on informing people of another way to go about this issue. I would’ve gladly heard that and probably agreed with your point.
Ooh I ain’t arguing that mate. Just discussing economics. Providing free public transport is another discussion point that is interesting of course.
it’s a nicely written post and although I do believe the costs made to reduce the faire skippers is out of proportion I also believe you should mention another important fact.
That is that the more money that is being put in to prevent it the lower the damage will be. A good example is tax evasion. The bigger the chance of getting caught is, the less people who will attempt it. Thus if you reduce the preventive measures this will automatically go up. But yea again I do not believe 150m weighs up to 100k.
Actually I might’ve forgotten another factor. I believe and please do correct me if I’m wrong. Is that a lot of misbehaving people on the trains also skip the train fair. So it be 2 birds in one stone, safety and revenue.
Wouldn’t it also be able to crack it in the future as long as it’s accurate enough? As long as it’s able to accurately recognise what key is which it can crack it like the enigma code.
Some people want to red rid of them, but by far more people want to keep it, 55% for the monarchy vs 24% for a republic
Fair enough, do you have some examples you know off to feed my curiosity on this topic? If not I understand if you want to hide the negative feelings in a deep part of your brain.
