Prepping, still, for a DnD campaign. Pulling all the stops, with music (ripped from Cyberpunk 2077 and looped), art (done by me), branching narratives when my players do something unexpected, custom homebrew mechanics (it’s cyberpunk red ported into 5e, so as best as it can be ported), etc. I really want to start it soon but I have to migrate all the stuff I had made on a foundry server to my computer, and that’ll take time since I’m cleaning it up as I go.

Apart from that, killing bugs and heretics on Space Marine 2, killing bugs and heretics on Rimworld, and killing imperialists and fascists on Squad.

Even then, it’d take a lot more than just equal quality and compatibility. Folks are too used to Adobe slop to switch.

I’ve recently started using Affinity instead and ngl, it’s getting there. No AI stuff (which is a plus for me), runs better, and is capable of doing damn near the same things.

coffee milk.

You might like a bombón coffee. Take condensed milk and espresso, and mix them real well. You’re aiming for a 50/50 but that might be too sweet, so adjust accordingly.

I make it out of good quality instant coffee, condensed milk, caramel, ice, cinnamon, couple drops of vanilla (or real vanilla if you’re bougie), and whole milk. Put it in a big ass jar and store in the fridge. Great for 35C+ weather.

Yuuuup. I received half a class in the thing that I decided would make or break my thesis project.

Got analysis paralysis the whole time I was researching how to do it, and ended up doing it in about a week in a half, in which I slept for about 8h total. Was congratulated on it by the board, but I’ll never in my life work in that sort of thing again if I can help it.

DLSS doesn’t help, either. I’ve been playing a lot of Squad lately and it’s a real catch-22. Use it, and you get okay performance but can’t see shit out of scopes, don’t use it, and you get a very clear picture of <60fps.

Saaaame here. Struggled all through school until I got to college where I did really well as long as I had a structure that agreed with me. A lack of it bit me in the ass come thesis though. Took ages.

Can confirm. When I got diagnosed with GAD, SzPD and rediagnosed with ADHD, my therapist asked me why I was so anxious all the time. After giving them the rundown of everything going on around me, they told me to not think about it.

Like, I get it. Would be cool. But, it’s around me. Would be easier to avoid the ground beneath my feet. They did end up helping me fine-tune my routine to unfuck myself when spiraling into a panic attack though.

My group has been looking at TTRPGs for a while now. We used Owlbear Rodeo for one campaign, and started our current one on Roll20 without premium, but… It’s so unintuitive. An honest to goodness UI/UX nightmare. I can see the logic behind some of the choices but it’s so uncomfortable to use. We want something with a bit more functionality (character sheets and dice rolling at least, dynamic fog of war being a personal bonus as a DM).

Replaying Dragon’s Dogma in prep for the new game. I had forgotten how much grind the game requires, honestly. I’ve been Mage 1-11, MArcher 6, Ranger 6, Sorc 30-40 or so, and my magic score is still low as hell. I’m purposefully delaying meeting the duke because I really want to give MArcher a try in the post-game, and it feels like I’ve already played for a long time but sheesh, levelling up is slow. I had never focused on building for stats, honestly. I know now though that most of your damage comes from your gear, so I might quit levelling Sorc when I reach 450 magic instead of the 600.

Hope it’s a little faster in the second entry.

Apart from that, trying the Nordic Souls modpack for Skyrim, and Helldivers 2.

Honestly, go as complex as you’ll be able to put up with daily. Get a burr grinder if you think you’re willing to take 5 minutes every day measuring out and grinding coffee. It’ll guarantee the best performance possible from the beans you’re using. Paper or metal filters, up to you. Paper filters are probably better, metal filters are more convenient. A good kettle is a must, I think. Stovetop or electric, as long as it has a goose neck. Trying to get a good bloom without one is a PITA.

Pour over is probably it. I got my mum, who prefers simple solutions, a steel filter. It’s got little holes in it. Got a v60 as well. It’s done really quickly and is very forgiving with grind size. Most demanding step of the whole process for her was pouring it over in circles.

Still pulls out the percolator sometimes though. Doesn’t like standing over the stove doing nothing. Tastes bitter as all hell but hey, she’s done her coffee that way her entire life.

IMO the problem at this point is leadership. They’ve realized people will buy their shit if they sell a cheap, surface-deep fantasy with interesting visuals and let folks do a very limited number of different things in a single playthrough. Because of that, there’s no nuance to their worlds. They want to make a sandbox game with no reactivity.

Unless leadership resigns I won’t expect anything else than the equivalent of a gas station meal.

Wasn’t here back when it happened, but from what I know, it was straight up white supremacy shit. It got defed to death.

Word of warning: the game is jank personified, but once you get past the animations, visuals, and weird storytelling, it has a lot of charm. It does quite a lot differently to other RPGs and survival games, and because of that, it has a hell of a learning curve.

Playing it makes me remember how I felt when I played Morrowind, for some reason. Not because it is the same caliber of game though, that much is for certain.

Have you tried Outward? It is built with co-op in mind. The solo and coop experience is exactly the same, maybe a bit tougher solo.
