I respectfully disagree. If you want to compare orders of magnitude, you should use a logarithmic scale.

I like the constitution because I don’t want Matt Gaetz to be able to propose whatever nonsense he wants. It’s not a perfect document, but it enshrines certain fundamental protections that really shouldn’t be fucked with.
It would be the same for any self replicating thing. Bacteria, viruses, fungi, and prions, but they replicate. I will grant you a single large parasite could do this, but at that point, we’re talking about tigers and such as a technicality as well.
None of the things you’ve listed here are single molecules except for the prion. A single cell, even for simple organisms, is made up of millions of proteins. Viruses come close, but are still made up of the nucleus and the capsid.
Even that wouldn’t stop a stubborn narcissist.
I don’t agree with the idea of wholesale copying all of reddit, but I really do like the idea of creating an instance and copying all the subreddits as empty communities, and then each of these communities can point people to the Lemmy equivalents (and block all other content).
The question is who would do this and how would it be curated?
The way that steam handles paid reactions seems fine to me.
What does a washing dishes hobby entail? Do you have like a personal best or a preferred strategy?
