We should start poisoning the LLMs by spreading misinformation in online spaces. That would be funny i think
Appreciated, thanks!
Can I get uuuhhhhh source pls
I was in a very bad mood, but this wisdom helped me put things in perspective… thank you!
No kinkshaming please…
Need me some schizoposting
OK, this mostly worked. I had to point the new Lutris install to the games’ directories and playtime didn’t carry over, but the Flatpak version allows you to input it manually, so no issues here. Also lost GOG login token and some other configs but nothing too bad. Thanks again for the help!
Actually, now that I uninstalled the .deb, I have no Lutris icon in the app list. How to fix it? Edit: nvm reboot fixed it
Thanks for the help, appreciated!
I will try this way
Anecdotal, of course, but I’ve been gaming with almost zero big issues on POP! _OS with the baked in nVidia drivers since half a year ago. Both via Steam and via Lutris w/ Wine/ProtonGE. Some bugs here and there, but nothing that makes it impossible to get a satisfactory experience.
Of course it’s a different distro which you might not like, but if you really can’t make your games work on Mint do consider changing to POP! at least for the time being
That’s reassuring, for the stable release I mean!
At the moment I don’t really feel the need to update it, I’ll just wait for a bit longer. Thanks though!
Very nice, thanks for the good news! I’ll wait patiently for it to release
They actually kept developing it, with the last release in August 2022, and, even though those releases were tagged as Alpha, I’ve only had some (not more than a couple times a year) freezes with crash of the launcher since. Tested on two different phones with two different ROMs
I don’t know if there’s still someone developing it, but until something else just as good (for me) pops up, I’m sticking to Lawnchair
YES, foobar2000!
I also gravitated towards Audacious, but I foobar2000 was 10/10. Might consider running it through Wine, since Audacious is not quite there unfortunately

I mean, AmogOS is pretty good too
I have no cars in this race, but if that’s their aim I think it will be impossible to achieve it. Steam already did that years ago, making people too invested in their platform I mean, MS is late. No way enough people will leave Steam to move permanently to Game Pass. They might get some users, but I don’t think they’ll ever get enough to make a difference for Steam or MS themselves. Buy we’ll see. I don’t really care either way
I agree that they’re getting something from this (no way they just bleed money on it without a sound investment plan), but what do you reckon they actually get? Money directly from subscriptions can’t be enough to cover everything… is it just to build a walled garden ecosystem so they can “lock” people in and pick the fruits in a year or two? Although if something like a huge price hike happens, they will lose many customers
That’s true, I was looking at it from a wrong point of view
