Do you happen to have an account on webtoons and were you logged in?

Because, without an account, my user experience is:

• Page loads
• Cannot interact with page as I need to get rid of the cookie banner (that’s to be expected) - click
• Page reloads, displays comic list
• after a split second, the page changes and asks to create an account
• no way to close the login/account creation dialog.
• when reloading, hitting back or revisiting the link I get immediately greeted by the create an account dialog. Still no access to the comic.

So, I’d rephrase it as modern cancer…

…its just a password to access a list of passwords.

Unless you never thought of, implemented, regularly did and regularly tested your backup of the database. Or… try to use it on more than one device - maybe even at the same time.

That’s the main problem with KeePass. It’s nice to have it offline, fully under your control and out of the cloud, but that comes with some responsibilities on your end. And now think of how the average user solves this. If you’re tech savvy enough, KeePass is great!

It’s a bummer how killing strangers for your government is glorified.

Killing for yourself: Government will track you down, kick your door in and throw you in prison and maybe send you into the death row.

Killing for your government: Government will provide training, shelter, equipment, pay you and award you medals.

In most jurisdictions this project wouldn’t have any problem, when it’s a “clean room” implementation - meaning they figured out by themselves how the server works.

Several jurisdictions even allow reverse engineering and such to ensure compatibility / supporting an product that hasn’t any official support anymore.

Others simply don’t care.

It’s all in the details, but they might not get sued that easily.

Also they could tell them after completing all tests/finishing ths study.
