just fyi I moved Discord, GIMP, Obsidian, and OBS over to flatpak and my root partition jumped from 19GB to 23GB. I’m kinda sad about it tbh

I was there on TeamSpeak over a decade ago. It was good for its time
It looks like you’re right. Uninstalling the deb and then installing the flatpak consumed an additional 2GB on my root, but I have a handful of other electron-based apps that are mildly obnoxious snaps, and migrating them might help amortize that cost
Oh that’s great! I’ll switch to the flatpak tonight then
I haven’t tried flatpacks yet. How do they compare to, say, snaps in terms of storage/redundancy?
It was fun to win on the first day when nobody knew what to do. Now, everybody does these same weird metas and strats to skip certain sections of track, making it impossible for casual FZero fans to keep up.
I’ll keep waiting for Aero GPX https://store.steampowered.com/app/2160360/Aero_GPX/

You can look into Spotify Downloader spotdl
, a Python package here: https://github.com/spotDL/spotify-downloader
It doesn’t download as you listen, but it’ll do something smart and download all the tracks of a playlist/album/etc by grabbing high-quality audio from Youtube videos (and it magically avoids dreaded music video versions) if you feed it a Spotify URL. It also puts all the metadata in the tracks automatically.
I don’t have a very consistent naming theme. I’ve used various names related to music, science, and art. I have a decomissioned machine named “numbers” for example.
However, I would like to point out we have plenty more than 8 celestial bodies of interest in the solar system if you include Eris, Ceres, Pluto, Makemake, the moons of Jupiter, and more. It might not be indefinitely extendable, but may help in the short term.
It’s true lol. I had to install Docker for teaching on my old drive and that instantly maxed out my root partition even when I kept deleting intermediate builds and unused data. Now I have this fun paranoia for all apps :)
