Can somebody ELI5 this to a normal tech person who is aware of the RISC5, but has no idea why everyone is so excited about this?

• Why is this exciting?
• Is there a future where this replaces x86 CPUs in the desktop / laptop?
• Will emulation or translation layers allow x86 applications to run on RISC CPUs?

IPTV is the answer. It’s so much more convenient than searching for streams to find one which doesn’t buffer.

If you can’t see that Star Trek hasn’t always been about equality and diversity and learning to accept those who are different then I’m really not sure what you’ve been watching.

I wouldn’t trust that for shit. Nobody should trust this. Revanced is not difficult, if you can’t get it working, then maybe you don’t have the technical nous to pirate safely (not aimed at you directly, just in general).

Self hosting is much closer to gaming on Linux than Windows imo, but it’s a great analogy nevertheless.

I have all sorts of weird troubles with IPv6 at home. Facebook won’t load some content, Netflix will frequently buffer and fail to load, Steam will almost never download things quickly.

Turn off IPv6 on my router, all my troubles go away.
