Doesn’t PS2 use a PowerPC architecture? And newer consoles are on x86 so having FPGAs for either stack feels uneconomic right now. Also the issue with making roms compatible is a lot of them used chip level tricks to get certain things to function.

So you’ll get stutters no matter what version you use until the shaders compile. Play a few games, load into the training area with every character, and it will get up to a decent 40-50
Agree with all of this. People who deride games just because they are mobile are not much better than those people who see video games as being strictly for children
