Went to the zoo while high.

Sibling wanted to go to the zoo, so we rented an electric cart for my husband and the three of us went out. I decided as weed is legal here to do that as well

Turns out physical activity sucks less when high and there’s animals to look at also

I’ve been traveling for the last 22 days. I’ve been to both countries before, so there might be fewer firsts than one might expect.

I did get to see the Large Magellanic Cloud. That was definitely on the list. I crossed into Chilean Patagonia for a day, if only to soak in some hot springs. I got to see Lago Llanquihue, Volcán Osorno, and visited Bariloche. That was all new.

Beyond that, it’s mostly details. Where I stayed and such. It’s been a fantastic trip.

I’m in Buenos Aires for a couple more days, and there really isn’t much I haven’t seen before here. It’s just nice to be away, relaxing and enjoying all the little differences.

I suppose the big first is that I did all these things sober. I really, really wasn’t in that condition 20 years ago. In that respect, it’s an entirely different (and for me, a much better) experience.

I hit a major setback, thought it was going to ruin me, but instead of just accepting the failure and sliding back years in my efforts, I called some friends for support. They both independently told me that I was catastrophizing and not to give up but try assuming I would just sail past the problem and keep going. So I did, and sure enough I recovered really fast and I’m back on track again.

The one on the left is my wife’s and on the right is mine. The design is basically a bird finger wrapped around the ring. Some may say it actually looks like a witch’s finger xD

    Cocaine.

Honestly, I don’t see what all the fuss is about. To me it feels like coffee, but it only lasts 15 minutes, tastes like shit, and costs upwards of a testicle and a half where I am. And no, I’m not looking for anyone to try and change my mind on that.

This year I went scuba diving for the first time! Also, I did my first job switch, been good so far but I constantly doubt my abilities. Also first time daily driving linux recently 😉

That’s not nice. R&D engineers probably work really hard. Do you do more work on the head, or the shaft? I am legitimately interested by this.

I work hard but my new company seems to respect work life balance so far. So far I’ve been working more on the tip of the screw, but it depends on the goal of the project. Almost all of the features of the screw can be modified to meet the needs. A big part of the work is to verify that a change or innovation can be produced at a good quality level.
