I have spent an embarrassing amount of time in this game. It is inevitable in multiplayer games and especially in such time-consuming ones as MMOs that the real world blends with the virtual one. The connections we make in-game can be as important and meaningful as any in the real world, and I want to cultivate a space where I know my values are shared.

The “Zero-COVID Hydaelyn” Free Company (XIV’s equivalent to guilds) on Seraph is my attempt at making an explicit space of players who are still COVID-ing and will, hopefully, be free from the inevitable heartbreak upon discovering our raid group friends just don’t care all that much about the plague. If you play in any capacity, casual or hardcore, and you have an interest in joining, please let me know via DM, response to this thread, or in-game mail or application. I’d be happy to have you.

If you play on another world/data center then I also have a Cross-World Linkshell available. There won’t be the same perks as being in a Free Company but it acts as an extra chat channel of sorts and further means to connect and coordinate.

P.S. if you are wondering why the name looks a little goofy in the screenshot, it’s because that’s a zero and not an O. For only Free Company names, “COVID” was deemed a “forbidden word”. Thankfully this censorship was pretty lazy, lol. As far as I am aware it is not verboten in any chat channels in-game (or in the FC’s information field, as you can see from the screenshot…)
