I love how they added loads of smgs and shotguns then made maps where the destruction was small scale like demolishing office buildings. It looked so good ripping apart furniture and thin walls in a map that starts pristine.
The scavenger game mode in aftermath was my favourite, all the fun of a battle royale without the tedium, trying to keep a good weapon all round was exhilarating.
Oooh battlefield whatever happened.
Ds1, 2, 3 and bloodbornes expansions were all peak.
Maybe illegal but battlefield games had some great xpacs from bf3 and before. Bad company 2 vietnam was great, i put more hours into that than the main game. Aftermath, close quarters and back to karkand were all brilliant expansions i dumped silly hours into. Endgame was poo.
Far cry 3 blood dragon was good fun. And ofc every expac for dawn of war 1.
Nothing will hit the peak that was planetside 2 during the beta/early full release
What were your thoughts on putriescent knight? When I dropped into a replica of Midirs arena I thought I was in for an epic fight and around the corner runs out bonewheel orphan of koss on a horse. The fight itself was ok but i felt a little disappointed. You don’t just throw in an exact replica of Midirs arena and give me that.
Best moment in the dlc is Igon and Bayle and in my head is the final boss for me. Very cinematic and cool fight to have with Igons monologue at the beginning
I got a lot of the dodging down but was always out of stamina, tried a few builds and strategies until i discovered he can’t penetrate the fingerprint shield at all leaving only the meteor shower to evade. Fight was so easy with that shield i wasn’t even looking at him but instead my stamina bar.
Renalla was fine it kinda reminded me of the lady maria boss fight where I had to learn how to parry then the fight became trivial. The twin moons aoe was fine when i realised my carian shield just nullified its damage.
I don’t think i could stomach an Elden ring 2. The open world is just not for me I have very little desire to touch the game ever again unlike all the other from games i replay almost yearly.
I do this for old RPGs since a bad spec basically means you’re fucked and have to restart. For example planescape torment basically only has 1 good build and its a narrative game anyway so wanted to experience the story unimpeded. Fallout 1 has some super wrong builds you can do.
But yeah sure for modern RPGs its hard to softlock them like old ones so there I apply cool factor instead. Modern RPGs are cool cos I can actually roleplay what I want rather than have to adhere to a games completely broken and obtuse mechanics.
It happens to the best of us. If it helps I’m in exactly the same situation as you but the goal is to do better each time and you will win xoxo
We haven’t figured out how to turn me into a glowing ball of light yet but gender to me has always felt like an oppressive cudgel used to cause me pain and make me feel inadequate based in some arbitrary rules of what people think i should be. So I’m happy to just be me and not have anyone assign values or requirements to my person based on some warped world view of binary gender roles.
If i could have it my way I’d literally be a shape shifter cos that would be swag as fuck.
