Had an absolutely awful few weeks of a depression hole, where i didn’t really accomplish anything. Today though, I got to use my new bike for the first time and went for a delightful ride. Hoping to also finish off my last few home improvement projects, then watch HOTD finale tonight w my spouse.
I also released my game beta to reddit/incrementalgames, to good reviews. Hoping to wrap that up eventually!
I think there are limits, though. If you don’t want to interact with the mechanics of the game at all, maybe just watch a lets play?
check my submitted posts, its in /games
been working out almost every day this week. Tired of always putting improving my health off out of laziness.
finally did my alpha release of my browser game last week, which i’ve been super happy with. It was delayed a few months when my wife went out of town and my working schedule got all messed up. Working on getting it to beta version and releasing it to r/incremental_games.
Computex is this week, looking forward to the new amd cpu announcements; Going to buy a new rig with them and finally do watercooling for the first time, which i’ve wanted to do since i was like 10. Super excited to work on it.
Everything from scratch, it is written in c# blazor, so it runs in the browser as wasm. Its just a text based game, though.
Its inspired by similar games like A Usual Idle Life and Progress Knight.
I do actually enjoy working alone on things, even on stuff that I don’t necessarily enjoy doing. Ill definitely be posting an alpha here as soon as its ready
I’ve been working on an idle game for loosely a couple months now. I’ve got all the systems and features down and working the way i want, but I’m just so bad at creating the content and balancing. It takes me so long to add new items and such; I find it to be the boring part of game dev and i wish I could sit and focus on it for an extended period of time and just grind it out.
I’m so close to having an alpha release though, so I’m very happy about that!
